- Since our last release 'I, Mortal' in 2007 we have gone through a lot of ...., well fill in the blanks yourself. But change is coming, one would say. A new drummer, a brand new package deal and renewed energy and inspiration. The release of our new EP 'Exit Reality' is coming closer by the week. Recordings and artwork are 99% complete. A rough mix of the song 'The Blood Of Millions' can already be streamed from our MySpace and Hyves-pages. Have a listen and drop us a message if you like, or come to see us live e.g. in Groningen on the 23th of September.

- Together with the bands Disintegrate, Posthuman and Leaper's Path we formed a diverse extreme metal package. Under the flattering name "The Parasites Of A Shifting Future" we'll play as much shows as possible, kicking of at Rockcafé Spider (Balk, NL) the 7th of May. - Together with our friends of Disintegrate we will play at the Pylger Metalfest 2010. On the 27th of February Dimaeon also shares the stage with The Lucifer Principle, Seita, Murder Manifest and more. Be there!

- Dimaeon is proud to present you the new line-up during a gig on Christmas eve! We will play at the Frisian Metal Night @ Poppodium Romein, Leeuwarden (NL). Be there on the 24th of December. Lots of bands, lots of booze...

- Hello world! It may have seemed like the past months were utterly quiet for DIMAEON, but in fact it has been a turbulent summer for us. In a Brian Adams song it would sound something like "Jelle quit and Philippus got married", but that's only the short version.

We all had nice trips across Europe. Norway, Croatia, Switzerland and Paris to name a few of the locations we've visited. Janneke and Jelle joined the new progressive death metal sensation hailing from The Netherlands: SINCERUS. They both will no longer be in DIMAEON from now on, but their efforts are much appreciated and caught on tape for our upcoming release 'Exit Reality'. We thank them for all the great times in the past years. See you on the road!

We are already working on a new line-up and planning new recording sessions for the 'Exit Reality' EP. All shows for 2009 are canceled, but we will be back in 2010 !!

- On May 14th we will perform at Poppodium Romein with Stream Of Passion (NL) and Breed 77 (Gibraltar). Susperia's vocalist Athera recently had an open heart surgery. We don't know if the Norwegians will play with a different vocalist or if they will cancel the gig(s). What we do know is that it would be a great honour. Anyway, we wish Athera all the best and a prosperous recovery!

- Yesterday, we claimed victory in the first round of 'Kleine Prijs van Fryslan 2009'. On demand of the spectators we played a second set of songs: an old-school Zugabe! We thank all who supported us! Photo's of this magic evening are already online. The semi-finals will take place on April 24th or 25th.

- On March the 28th we will compete in 'Kleine Prijs van Fryslan 2009', at 't Haske in Balk.
- More recordings took place last weekend. Our upcoming release 'Exit Reality' is becoming real, more and more. Bit by bit.

- The Eternal (Australia) are coming to The Netherlands and we are proud to be the local support for them and Marche Funebre from Belgium, on April the 9th in our hometown Leeuwarden. In the year 2007 we were also asked to support The Eternal at cafe Mukkes, but that opportunity never took place...

- Disaster strikes: studio meltdown! As we were about to move into the studio for our first recording day, something somewhere went wrong. Not even one note has been played or recorded so far. Technicians are now trying to fix the problem(s). We'll wait out this month and try again in December...

12-11-08:
- The pre-recordings of last weekend worked out fine and we are ready to hit the studio coming Tuesday! Jelle will be up first to hit the drums and kick the bass.

05-11-08:
- Another weekend of progress: Alette Koningen (known for her excellent live pictures) did a photo shoot with the band. No nudity, but still we think the result will be swell :D

28-10-08:
- Last weekend we made some pre-recordings for our upcoming release. Shitty sound but way tight! The cover song we will record is 'Perennial Quest', originally by Death. Hail Chuck!

23-10-08:
- Together with the thrashers of Dominion (NL) we formed a package called The Northern Alliance! First time we'll team up to blow your heads: December 19th, Cafe Swaf, Hoorn (NL).

- The new Dimaeon EP, yet untitled, will contain four songs: Aeon, Terra, The Blood Of Millions and a cover version of a highly respected band.

This track was recorded at Bunker Bovengronds 2008 by Toby with his video-camera, so the sound quality may not be what you expect.

- Radio Moonrock broadcasted our song "Revolt". This means that we - again - scored airplay on the coolest radio station of this Aeon.
- Some nasty little bugs in our site source were firmly crushed between the delete and backspace key.

- Radio Moonrock broadcasted an interview with Dimaeon and our song "Cry Of The Machine" got airplay.

- Although we did not win the Slag om Waldrock, we didn't leave Sneek empty handed. Check Radio Moonrock next Wednesday (06-06-2007) for an interview with Dimaeon. We also got offers for some gigs, so keep checking.

It is now confirmed that Dimaeon will perform at the eXtraOrdinary Prog/Power/Symfo Metal festival with Andromeda (Sweden) and many more. Place: 'Muziekcentrum Schaaf', Leeuwarden. Date: Saturday November 12th. More info in the 'gigs' section.

Also the artwork for our upcoming demo release is almost done, as well as the redesigning of this webspace....

In the semi-finals of the Metal Battle, Dimaeon came in 4th... this means last...oh well, we played well and had a good time (first appearance outside of Frisia). Congratulations to Portall and Influence!

Dimaeon's first demo will be entitled "Echoes In A Dying World". The 30-minute demo will contain three songs and will hopefully become available in the beginning of May.

Another gig has been confirmed: Metalnight at Wolweze, Leeuwarden. Probably we can end the quest for a second (lead) guitarist, for Sybren came by at our practise room last Saturday.....
